| Jeff's 1973 Schwinn Continental Overhaul - Bicycle After Overhaul |
A few weeks back I did an overhaul on Jeff's 1973 Schwinn Continental in sunset orange. The Continental is in all original condition including the after market brake lever covers in the sunset orange. The Continental is in fantastic condition that just needs a mechanical overhaul and a good cleaning. New cables and cable housings will be installed along with new bearings.
The Continental is in beautiful shape, you do not see paint in this good of condition very often.

I broke the Continental and got to work on cleaning and replacing the bearings. Everything cleaned very nice and with new bearings and grease everything spins fantastic.

The Continental turned out beautiful, just beautiful. Jeff had original fenders and I cleaned and installed those. The bike road beautifully, very comfortable but we replaced the tires a couple of days later. The Continental rides like a Cadillac, in the end its ride that matters and not weight.
In final photos you can see how beautiful the Continental is with all the original pieces and those fenders polished out next to the gum walls, it has such a classic look that reminds me of a cycle tourist bicycle. Just amazing! I love these bikes!!
Jeff also found an original rear rack that we installed a couple of days later.
