| Miyata Pro Restoration - Bicycle After Restoration |
This is a Miyata Pro in for restoration, I believe a 1984 but don't take that as absolutely correct. The frame had some damaged paint in a few areas and a replacement fork, a very nice replacement fork. On inspection of the frame inside and out the frame had no damage at all.
The Pro-Miyata is on my top 5 awesome list! It may be my age and era but I absolutely love this era's Japanese bicycles. The Miyata received new paint, decals, cables, housings, tires, tubes and a complete restoration of components. I couldn't be happier with the results.
The frame stripped photos are stuck on my old lap top that stopped working, I manged to save the photos above before it completely died. I also built a new powder coat oven with better control during the painting process of the Miyata. I am thrilled with the results. The head tube was masked and painted with liquid paint. The lug cut outs where hand painted. I love this stuff!!
I couldn't get the component before photos of the old computer (I now have cloud backup for photos!). The components turned out really nice, I couldn't expect any better. How can you beat Suntour Superbe??
The new decals where the cherry on top, they just made the whole bike come together. The decals where very nice quality. I am not a big fan of installing big panel decals but with holding my breath and going very slowly they turned out great!
I love everything about this bike, the color, the slight metallic to the paint, the components and most of all the ride. So light and nimble but solid at the same time! I love this stuff!
